This article is for users who want to access cameras remotely or locally through a desktop application
1. Navigate to website to obtain software
Scroll down until you see What We Offer
Make sure you are downloading the correct version for your computer
Scroll a little further to 'Software download'
select the Bundle software for PCs or the one with MAC in it for Apple computers
2. After downloaded, select installer.
It does take a bit for the file to fully download
Navigate to your downloads folder
Right click on the zipped file and select 'extract all'
Keep default location and select extract
Open the extracted folder
Select the 'iVMS-4200' installer
3. Install software
Double click to run the installer
Agree to Software License Agreement and select Next
Uncheck all boxes except Video and keep default location for install
if you keep the boxes checked it will create a desktop icon for you and open the application
It will ask if you want to enable upgrade detection.
We recommend disabling this for compatibility issues
4. Setting up Application
It will ask you to create a Super User.
This is NOT what you use for the cameras. This is up to your discretion.
We suggest checking the box to auto-login if you are the only person using this computer, but still keep your password saved somewhere.
It will ask you to answer 3 security questions. These are your personal choices.
5. Adding cameras
on the main page select Device Management on the right hand side
In the horizontal menu, select +Add
In the pop up window on the right, fill in the information for the cameras you want to access
Make sure to IP/Domain selected
Make sure the port aligns with what you were given
You can choose to synchronize time IF you are in the same time zone as the cameras
Keep 'Import to Group' checked
Once you select Add, you should see the camera system get the green Online indicator
6. Navigating around iVMS
Selecting the 4 squares in the upper right corner will take you back to the main menu.
Once you have cameras added, go back to the main menu then select main view
To view live view, click and drag the folder over to the 4 squares and click there.
To hear sound (if enabled on the camera) select the volume button in the lower left viewing corner
Parts of the application open up in tab like fashion so you can easily navigate between them
