Change User Password on Dahua Camera System

This article is for users who have Dahua cameras installed in their centers

 Change User Password

1. Be logged into SmartPSS desktop app or through the web browser using the public IP assigned to your camera system.

You need to be logged into the user that you are changing the password for



2. For SmartPSS - In the Devices menus, select the gear icon of the device that has the user you need to change the password for..



3. In the web interface, select Settings > Account





In SmartPSS, expand System and select Account



4. In web interface, select the pencil to the right of the user name you wish to change the password for.

In pop up window, check the box to 'Modify Password'



Smart PSS - In the new window, select the pencil for the user you want to change the password for.

In the pop up window, check the box 'Password' to enable changing the password. Select OK when done
You will need the old password




5. Logout and confirm the new password works. Make sure to update the password in any password manager.
