Sharing USB Document Printer Over Network
- On the computer the printer is directly connected to, navigate to printer properties under the printer device
- On the sharing tab, confirm the 'Share this printer' box is checked.
You can keep the share name on what it auto fills or you can rename it to something more user friendly
- On the computer that needs to access the shared printer, navigate to File Explorer > Network
Make sure to enable Network Discovery
- In the address bar on the top of the window type in \\host name of computer printer is being shared from. For example: \\0123_C1
- Right click on the printer and select Connect.
- It should install the connection with driver.
