Setting Up Desktop App for Dahua Camera System
1. Navigate to https://dahuawiki.com/SmartPSS and download the appropriate version for your computer
2. Select your language and agree to terms and conditions
3. Leave the box checked to install SmartPSS. You can uncheck Storage Service if you do not want to store recordings on your computer
4. Installation path can remain the same
5. Once it finishes, you will create a SuperUser
account password. This is up to your discretion and you can check the box to auto login.
6. Once the application opens up, under
Configuration, you will need to click on Devices. From here click Add.
7. A second screen will pop up. Here you will enter
the info you were given when your cameras were set up.
a. Device Name – ex: EWC – ‘Center Name’ or a name of your choosing
b. Method to Add – this needs to remain IP/Domain
c. IP/Domain Name – this is the IP address you were given. If you are in the center, this IP needs to be 10.10.20.2
d. Port – Default is 37777. You will be notified if this changes
e. Group Name – this can remain Default Group
f. User Name – this is the username you were provided
g. Password – this is the password you were provided
8. Once this has been added, click Add and you should see your device listed with a status of Online.
9. In the upper right corner, you can hit the + sign and select Live View
10. From here you should see your camera folder listed on the right. Click and drag the camera folder into the four square screens. Release on top of the upper right square. You should see your camera feeds.
